That reminds me of the time, when I was teaching, when I asked the French assistant whether there was a French term for 'leapfrog'. She didn't understand the term, so about a dozen staff commenced an impromptu game of leapfrog to demonstrate what we meant. "Oh", she said, "you mean leap sheep".
So I got an answer to my question but we also caused great amusement to the pupils who happened to be looking in through the staff room window and found their teachers playing leapfrog/sheep ;-)
