Buying a car

I want to buy my first car. I want a small one like a Fiesta or Clio or something. At the moment I have �2500. Will this get me one (not a white one)? ANd can anyone suggest where I look or what kind of car I buy with it? I'm a total beginner at buying cars.

Try having a look at www.autotrader.co.uk and look under Ford and Renault for the value. Should give you some idea of what's available. You could also have a look on Ebay.(Wouldn't recommend buying from there though).

I was going to suggest Auto Trader too :-)  You could also try the classified section in your local paper & garages adverts under 'trade ins'. 

Depends what reg you're looking for, but �2500 will definately get you a Cleo or Fiesta.

Lots of dealers carry trade-ins for that sort of money, and sometimes they'll even throw in a service, MoT and guarantee.  It'll get you mobile with an older but probably still very reliable car.   Clio, Fiesta, Micra, Polo....they all get a good name.

Take your time and preferably have someone with you who knows something about cars and whose opinion you value.   Just don't fall out afterwards......Good hunting!
