Who wants to be a millionaire (Screen)
Does anyone know what each coloured box on Chris Tarrant's screen represents. Also do you know what else is shown on his screen throughout the show e.g. cut to break, chat etc.
Cheers

No best answer has yet been selected by NC68. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I don't know the exact colour-coding used, but it would seem to me that his screen displays pretty much what we see - the question to ask and the options to give the contestants.
When a contestant submits an answer as their final answer, the option they chose will be illuminated with a different colour (probably orange) on Chris' screen. At this point, the right and wrong answers are distinguished on his screen and he is free to tell the contestant(s) whether they are right or wrong. (Presumably, if their choice (orange) is wrong, it goes red and if they're right, it goes green.)
I doubt there are any other screens for him to look at (none that say "chat now" or "break now" or anything). Although it is possible that a message pops up from his producer on screen - taking the place of an earpiece - telling him to think about cutting for a break (don't forget it's not a live show, so the exact timing of commercial breaks is not so important).
Apart from that, I'm sure it's a very simple question/answer system he sees which will only go onto the next screen when an answer is given. For instance, the question will sit there, waiting patiently for him to ask it as soon as he's finished chatting to the contestant(s).
It could be touch screen, or a hidden crew member could also do it.
Of course, this is all speculation, but I see no reason to do things any other way.
