can u get a virus from a usb memory stick

i find it hard to believe you have time to deal with any companies at all as you seem to have answered every other question on Answer bank this morning. You also don't seem to listen very well. We can both receive, and we can both send but they're not accepted is what I'm saying.

If I thought an iron bird was flying overhead then I'd be worried how it was managing to stay up there. Perhaps they're still trying to make one from iron where you live but we in the dark ages started using balsa wood and aluminum years ago

Even I am allowed a day off work every now and then. I found this site by chance while looking for information.

I just find it ridiculous that people do not accept jpegs in this day and age. I imagine the same people don't like their photos being taken in case it captures their soul?

Yow! I didn't realise it would cause this much fuss. I must admit that we too accept and send jpeg files via email and have never had a problem.

They are certainly not one one of the most common file formats to contain a virus. These are usually .exe or .cmd files.

It is quite incorrect that viruses will not be transferred from a memory stick unless they are accessed or copied.

Some viruses set up an autorun.inf file on the USB stick. Simply looking at the stick will result in the virus automatically copying to PC.
