splitting up with someone from work

I had a brief relationship with a man at work that has lasted a month. I really liked him and it was him who ended it. I am ok with that but trouble is I will have to see him at work not everyday but maybe a few times a week.
Does anyone have any tips how I can handle this better as at the moment I start feeling shaky when I see his car there and that I might have to see him.
I know eventually the feelings will just go away but for now I am finding it really hard x

lil, what you doing dating someone at work??!! i think you should just take it one day at a time and that feeling will 'hopefully' fade away. try not to fink of your relationship u had with him, but think of him as a normal person that works at your place.

the fact that he knows u can see his car when u arrive at work shows how thoughtless/r58ole he is. Ur well rid of of the pr1ck. He had his fun as u had urs together.

Move on, plenty more fish......and know he's missed out on someone who DID care for him but NO MORE!

I know whitebear what I massive mistake and I won't be doing it again!
This job means a lot to me too as it's my first job since setting my life up after moving to a new city 18mths ago.
He is a nice bloke so he won't cause me any hassle but its just the embarrassment and humiliation.
I suppose it's one of those life lessons we have to learn don't mix work with home life x

im sure u wil be fine. i work with 7 men, and two of em are proper flirting with me and being really nice! ones is in a relationship but the other isnt.
i dont even fancy any of them, although i just carrying n flirting... is that wrong? lol..... i dunno why but i just cant see meself dating with a colleage :P x

Better than hiding it round the corner so he can bump in to her when she isn't expecting it.

lil - it will get better remarkably quickly. Learn how to act - paste a smile on your face, nod and say 'hello' and move away.

How do you know he didn't end it because he wasn't ready for a relationship?

There are many factors which can end a relationship.
Feeling shaky and worried when you see him or his possessions is normal; it shows you still love him.

Maybe try talking to him about just being friends; try to control your worries with things which take your mind of any worry you may have: listening to music for example - whatever keeps you calm and at self-peace.

I will make sure I have my walk man on when I walk into where I work. I am a very strong person and I am still friends with him so it's my feelings I need to deal with until they subside.
