Honestly now, the UK is the first country where I have experienced such a lenient attitude to alcohol.
It's only since I've come over here that I've go into the habit of drinking to get drunk. At home, they'd call me an alcoholic, and they would call your husband that, and so would they a lot of people on here. Aside from student drinking, you don't just go out and "get ******", and it be considered normal, especially if you are settled down with kids. I'm considering moving home again to avoid the omnipresent temptaton of "going out and get ******". I'm finding it pathetic now.
