Hens & Cockerels
1 Answers
Hi
I've recently introduced a 13 wk old cockerel to 4 hens about 24wks old. They are not treating him very well and keep chasing him, then pecking him. At the moment he's not retaliating, is this normal behaviour? and if so, how long does it tend to last for?
Thanks

I was told to buy some anti peck spray from the pet shop and it worked a treat. It's only 3.50, try it! Or you could try taking the bully hen out of the pen away from the others for a day and the introduce the hen back the next day. Hope it works, it works with just hens but I don't know if it will with ********.
Good luck
