The blazer and all the PE kit has to have the school badge on,they don't even offer the option of buying an iron or sew on badge so you can buy cheaper t-shirts etc. and put the badge onto it. As well as the actual clothing they have to have a specific calculator(Casio fx 83es) ,special art pencils and a specific brand maths set.
My son's PE kit alone was over 50.00 johnny.5. School blazer 28.00,tie 3.00,trousers 30.00 for 2,shirts 15.00 for 3 and so on. I had to buy the blazer a size too big so it might fit him next year,11 year olds grow pretty quickly as i'm sure you know.
When I buy presents early, I end up losing them or buying other things as well! One year I bought everyone personalised leather key fobs, by mail order. That's when the concept was new! Thought I was being really clever and felt smug. That was until I came to wanting to wrap them. Couldn't find them anywhere! Mad dash to shops at peak Christmas Shopping time to (begrudgingly) buy more stuff. I found the fobs about 10 years later, tucked away safely in my loft! They were so old hat by then, I threw them away!
