Post Nasal Drip

I think I have Post Nasal Drip, as I appear to have some of the symptoms. I've been to my GP on a number of ocassions and she has prescribed nasal drops, which have been ineffective.

Does anyone know if there are any successful treatments for this highly irritating condition? Should I ask my GP to refer me to an ENT specialist?
