Have just found references to similar quotes on Google, but these 2 sayings obviously were either local, or scarcely known except by the compiler. Also, I 've noticed that where sayings are involved, words seem to be added or excluded according to what the compiler thinks they are, or maybe are spoken locally-only OK if you happen to live in that area too, or are a similar age to the compiler!
I agree that glisters is also correct, however I think I put glitters myself as I guessed that's what they wanted. This was one of the acronyms from one of my previous Children in Need quizzes and I accepted glitters, glisters and glistens as being correct as it depended on where you came from as to which was more common usage in your area. I got god pays debts without money as a last gasp google before I posted so presumably am one of the three. I look forward to seeing which of the others I got wrong instead, lol.
