Old Mens Noses.

What happens to some old men's noses like Johnny Cash's.

Are the extra lumps bone, grizzle, muscle or what?

I have checked the web and he didn't have a break late in life and no way did he have these bulges as a younger men.

I think it is a condition called 'rhynophyma' which starts out as 'acne rosacea' and gets way out of control. Rosacea presents itself as a mass of broken capillaries across the nose and cheeks. It can incorporate pustules and thickening of the skin. It can be treated and/or kept at bay by antibiotics and anti inflammatories.

No idea why but I think it may be alcohol related, I know a lot of elderly people, men especially, whose noses have got sort of big and porous and they all drink much more than they should. Their faces get florid as well but I guess JCs was covered in makeup for stage appearances

apparentey your nose ears nails never stop growing. older by the way abl how young are you atthis present time but just wondered as one day yous nose could be like that lol

Le Chat is spot on, but it is phymatous rosacea 'curse of the Celts' that tends to lead to rhinophyma, it also affects the ears, so some old men have large puffy ears as well.
