Lump when swallowing
5 Answers
I am sure this is part of my GERD but has anyone else a horrible feeling of a lump in the throat when you swallow? Is there anything you can do about this? I find it improves when asleep (obviously) and when I first wake up, and gradually gets worse throughout the day. It feels like a marble is in my throat, but I can only feel it when I swallow.
I'm not taking any PPIs at the moment as I seem to have very little problem with acid, weirdly. My voice is still shot and it takes a lot of effort to speak.
Thanks

I only take them now when the "lump" comes back. It definitely isn't a lump as I had my throat examined with a scope whilst under general anaesthetic.I find that I only need to take the tablets for about a week for the feeling of the lump to go away.
