Can someone please advise me with regard to which blank DVDs I need to buy so that I can use them over and again.  I bought 5 DVD-R made by Sony for 20 last night - but am not sure whether they are reusable or once I have recorded on to them that is it.  Can anyone please help me and tell me what I need to look out for to ensure I buy the correct media?

DVDs come in 2 flavours called + (plus) and - (minus) and so you firstly need to check which are compatible with your rewriter.

A further subdivision for recording brings us to DVD R (recordable) and DVD RW (rewritable).

You are looking for rewritable media therefore you require the RW type.

Thanks Kempie - as I suspected - I bought the wrong ones - oh well - back they go for a refund!
... and I would expect to pay between 80p and 1.30 per disc.
but your discs cost 4 quid each which suggests to me they are re-writable......or just hideously expensive !
check out www.blankdiscshop.co.uk - SVP do good deals on media and have some good advice in the forums too.
