I am looking for the best way to catch up on UK slang. I think the best way is to follow some forums. Can you suggest other ways? (I do not have a TV set).

rtholomew, give us a little to go on. What sort of colloquiallisms are you looking for? Regional? Cultural? Or what?

Do you want us to 'go to the foot of our stairs'?

Or 'look like we'd dropped off the back of a flittin''? Or have 'net curtains in the window, nothing on 't table'?

All these are North of England, and I'm sure I could put my mind to some Southern ones if I thought about it...

There are plenty of dictionarys about.

 Type 'Dictionary slang' into kelkoo.co.uk and you will be spoilt for choice - might even get a couple myself!

If you don't want to buy them, borrow them from the library.
