When we in the Northern Hemisphere look at a globe, the North Pole is over the top of our heads and we are standing upright (OK.  In UK, leaning a bit to the side because of our latitude!!!).

In the Southern Hemisphere, do the inhabitants imagine themselves as being upside down? ( hanging like bats on the underside of the earth???) or do they think they are the right way up & we are upside down. i.e North isn't 'up' in the Antipodes, it must be 'down'.

They would have 'down' North & 'up' South.

Any Antipodeans can suggest??

Yes they do, and no they don't respectively.

My Geography teacher has a map that she bought in Australia, and yes, our south pole is their north pole, if you know what I mean...therefore that makes us upside down on an Aussie map.

Well they do call it "Down Under" - but it's pure prejudice really, there's no reason why South can't be at the top, except that most of the maps we have are made by Europeans (ie. Northerners).
