Er... in the UK we plant tomatoes in grow bags, not babies!

:-S

well yes, but we find babies in cabbage patches and under gooseberry bushes don't we? and the poor wee mites need to sleep somewhere till we find them :-)

our wee guy is still in his at 17 months.  It's for 12-18 months old.  I think they're great and not overly keen on moving to blankies etc, so I'm hoping we can find more for his next age bracket (18-24).  he's such a wee wriggler and mover in his sleep (as most are at that age), I think he'd constantly be waking up cold or uncomfy if he had sheets and covers etc.  He can do 360s in his grow bag without any problems.
You can re-pot him/her after the first crop in a larger, more suitable container. Out of direct sunlight.
check out my post on shopping  section laura....you can get them for up to 36 months old.   I'm delighted!!!!
My daughter is nearly 2 and still happily sleeping in her gro bag every night. She is in the 18-36 month size so plenty of room yet. I dread the day she is to big for it. Long live the gro bag.  LOL

I think I know what you mean, it's sort of a baby grow down to the waist and then a sleeping bag below that.

Are they really called growbags?

I thought they were sleepsuits.

Hi.

A 'grobag' is a  baby sleeping bag with a tog rating. It stops the need for any form of bedding in a cot as baby stays nice and warm all night and there is no risk of covers etc being kicked off. Baby just needs light night wear underneath depending on tog rating and time of year. They can be used from birth until 6 years (can't see a child of that age being to happy about that though) as the biggest size available is 3/6 years.

If you visit www.bumpto3.com you will see what I mean.

Do any of you use a quilt with your gro bag?

I knew really, it just seemed luke such a cute idea !!!
sory typo, I meant LIke, not Luke
I think 'grow bag' is a cute name for an all in one. My husband always called them 'grow bags' too - instead of baby grow!
No, we never use a quilt with the grow bags.  In summer we used one with a lower tog (of 1) and in winter we use a 2.5 tog.  With our wee guy in that, his PJs (or sleepsuit when he was very wee) and a vest, he seems just fine.  Actually as the chimney breast goes up thru his room, we have to watch it doesn't get too warm for him.  I note the Gro Bags on kiddicare are 2.5 tog only, but as he's getting older he can regulate his own temp. better, so they should be fine for him.
i still sleep in a grow bag, and i'm 17, is there something wrong with that?
