Would love to say I have a better understanding of this collider having watched BBC 4 tonight but...

it sent me, and Mr R, off to sleep .....

If they create a black hole it will take about 4 years to turn the earth inside out and continue on and destroy the universe.

All say omg....then forget about it, cos they are turning it on anyway.....
All scaremongering. The experiment they are doing is merely a re creation of what is happen above our heads in the sky all the time as cosmic rays hit the atmosphere.
The switch on of the Hadron Collider will be presented live by Andrew Marr on radio 4 from 06.00 next wednesday.
Rabbitygirl, your figure of 4 years brings us up to the end of time as the Mayans knew it when they stopped their calendar. Did you know that?

That`s all, folks
This experiment is being conducted on such a small scale that nothing bad could possibly be caused as a result of it. I think The sun and The Daily Mirror have a lot to answer for.
My Mom old me about this and she got all flustered and told me the end of the world is coming!

Parents eh, drama queen!

Surely if its as dangerous as they make out, someone would put a stop to it.....wouldn't they?!
