I've been looking around the internet for a while and have found some sites that can link you up to a 'diet buddy' (an email 'friend' in the same boat to give/receive support) while attempting to lose weight.
I like this idea (willpower isn't what it was!) but wonder, before signing up to anything, if anyone has experience of this?
Some of the sites look a bit iffy - so am I wasting my time?

I was very good today and had l/f hummus and crudites for lunch, but a menu for a new Chinese takeaway has just come through the door and I have a craving for some sweet and sour chicken!!
So maybe I wouldn't make such a great diet buddy, as I fall off the wagon most days!
Lol @ scoobysoo - that's my problem too. My wagon-off days far outweigh my wagon-on days, alas.
bushbaby_de - I'm based in my chair most of the time (it's a desk chair NOT an armchair I hasten to add!) as I work from home so the only exercise I get is a dog walk... so to speak... not sure that conjours up the right picture, somehow! So if you could find your way to sunny old Essex, (south east UK) and coax me out of my cosy study I'll return the favour!
Yep spark people are a free site,think its american based so some of the recipes tend to be in cups measurement,a girl at work has lost a amazing 6 stones so far,she was losing weight for her wedding last year,but kept on going afterwards,joined spark people in the latter stages,she is so determined to keep it off,and the elation she gets from people that dont regonise her,and also being able to buy clothes in her size off the peg !
I don't know who ~spaced~ is as I rarely come to this site now so I couldn't comment on whether he/she has weight 'problems'.
But just to clarify: I don't have a weight 'problem'. I'd like to lose a bit of weight/get healthier for a particular reason. But whether I have 20lbs or 20 stone to lose - I certainly wouldn't class it as a 'problem'.
