The Mayan calendar comes to a halt in December, 2012. They had a unique system of calculating that allowed them to predict accurately many future events. Richard Feynman, the American physicist, thought enough of Mayan lore to use it as a central plank for teaching his observations on quantum mechanics. In view of the fact that on Wednesday someone in Cern is going to push a button should we be getting worried?
