Whats good for a sore troat

anyone know something that is really good for a sore troat. I am only asking because I cant take tablets for it so i need something else to ease it off.

fab i think they do a spray for sore throats which freezes the sore area, ask your chemist!!!!

You can gargle salt water or the best option is gargle soluable asprins, you dont have to swallow them, just gargle......H T H?

Used to gargle with salt and warm water arrrrgh!, and i can remember gargling with TCP!!!

My Mum used to make m gargle with soluble aspirin too.

I never notced any effect!

Best treatment? Sips of cold water.

Good old fashioned Friars Balsam. Put a few drops in a bowl of boiling water and inhale the steam with a towel over your head. I used this method when I had a sore throat before I was singing in a concert. Very effective.

The sore throat sprays are brilliant, but don't over-do it, or the taste stays with you for a good while. They numb the area quickly, but Tups' Friars Balsam remedy works!
