Ive been invited to a christening on 12th march....but i dont know what to wear, i have a denim skirt thats new but wasnt sure if denim is appropriate in a church!

Also given the current unpredictable weather i dont want to be caught short in a floaty dress in the middle of a blizzard!

Any Ideas?

Definately not denim.  Its not that its not appropriate but you would be the only one.

I would say a nice suit or even just a pencil skirt, polo neck and boots or something a little warmer.  Go more for the smarter look than the casual/smart.

Depends whether you are a godparent or not. If you're a godparent then you probably need a nice suit and hat... if you're just a member of the congregation then wear something you feel comfortable in.

Christenings are invariably followed by a party of some sort, and there will more than likely be young children there, so don't wear anything you wouldn't want to get marked.
