Objection to the word DUMB

If I couldn`t speak I would certainly be offended when I heard people using the word dumb to mean stupid! I first came across this dreadful interpretation many years ago in America, and a few years later it had crossed the water. Don`t people ever stop to think when they used this word!

The sad thing is, I`m sure someone can make sense of all of this!!!!!!!!!!

Look, is there an unwritten law that only nonsense must be chattered about? I need to know--or possibly I`m just too whatever to add to these high-falutin conversations.
