Flights to New Work over New Year
Is it best to book now or wait until nearer the date?
Some of the prices being quoted on websites are shockingly high - and that is just for the flights - nearly 1000 pp. Surley there must be cheaper??
I really wanted to fly to Manchester, but would drive to any airport in the UK if the price was right.
Was looking for 5 nights from the 30/12/08
I head a tip to go on the Australian Expedia website - it was no cheaper though

Do keep checking all the appropriate sites, and do consider flying to Newark rather than JFK. It is in New Jersey, just across the river from Manhatten and not really any further than JFK.
I have had a look on the Continental website (they fly Manchester to Newark) and at the moment you can get flights for 382 each way, though that would involve another nights stay in New York, and both flights go via Amsterdam.
Remember, keep checking all appropriate sites - the airline websites aswell as ones like opodo.
Good luck.

Definitely book now - I'm in the travel industry and you wouldn't believe how many people believe that they're the only ones who want to travel over Christmas / New Year. It's not the case and it's very busy.
