Cliff Richard
37 Answers
Cliff the peter pan of pop has just released his autobiography, My Life My Way, in it he reveals his close relationship with former priest John Mc Flynn. Cliff says he doesn't like living on his own, but now there is the usual speculation of an adverse relationship. Why can't people have same sex relationships without being branded gay or lesbian! Or is Cliff too much of an Icon for all to overlook his personal life!!

Well saxy_jag, if you revealed, and if it was libel, then it would show you up as a liar surely?
Go on, be a devil, post!!
Cliff Richard is a unique personality, a nice man, a good man, and I'll bet he has done a damn sight more good for humanity than you have saxy_jag. You just want to ride on the back of a cheap laugh.

Whiffy, I care not whether he cares that I tolerate him. That should relieve him of any undue stress, I expect.
No, I can't post a link, a) because there isn't one, and b) for the reasons I said in my last post, so I expect what I've said to be dismissed as hearsay in any case. But I've worked with people like Cliff, and I know that for all the money and glitz, none of them are perfect. Even the nice guys smoke dubious substances and have ... erm ... dubious relationships with equally dubious fans. Only thing is, none of them ever pretended otherwise.

I agree with whiffy's previous posting.
There's nothing wrong with our Cliff Richard.
He's made some good songs in the past.I must admit,I have some vinyl records of his songs, and I really enjoy listening to them.
How can anyone not like Saviour's Day?This has to be one of my favourite songs by him.
Does anyone remember this old one by him below?

If you say so, whiffy. But so are you a non-entity for that matter, so neither of us has any less right to our beliefs than the other. I believe what I've been told by someone I trust who's seen behind the public figure, and with whom I've worked for a number of years. If you and several thousand others want to believe otherwise, then fine. It really doesn't bother me.
Aside from that, I also believe Cliff's done diddly-squat for humanity and plenty for himself, and that being a public figure (or even a public christian figure, if it comes to that), does not equal good.
And ultimately, I retain a right not to like him. I'm sure, as a 'public figure' he's quite used to that.
