Just got in and caught this thread.
I am a man. I have some stories of internet dating, too.
One woman, after speaking on the phone, got me to take her to a restaurant (where we met) and onto the theatre - a costly night out and she let me pay for it all. When I drove her home she made me drop her at the end of the road as she was in a relationship and didn't want to be seen. Never heard from her again. Wonder who paid for her next evening out?

Some women I communicated with had a very poor opinion of men who used dating sites saying many were married men just using it like a supermarket to find another one night stand. But I wanted to put the record straight. Men can also get a raw deal.
Anyway. I did meet a new lady and we have been married for over four years now.
