Hi everyone

First time Mum here and glad to say that Ive stayed away from the baby food jars so far and made my own food for my little boy. He is getting into finger foods now and I want to add a little variety to his food. Sandwiches are my first thing but wondered if anyone has any other ideas.

Sorry if I sound lame asking but Im working full time so need something quick and easy if possible ..... even if it is spaghetti hoops from a tin!!

They arent aliens tgm, common sense prevails, just adjust what you are eating to suit, get fed up that mothers think that nearly one years old wont eat within reason what others are!!!

Its not that - I just dont want to give him anything he is not ready for ... sorry I sound silly but there you go!!
you can give him things like toast with jam, cheese spread ect. sticks of cucumber. which he will prob just suck at this stage.
my son used to love the mini tins of pasta shapes too, they are easy and filled him up.
how about fish fingers or chicken ippers as he can hold them in his hands.
Like i said just try and think rationally, give him finger foods like potato wedges home cooked of course, chicken goujons, cooked soft peppers, fish fingers, bread, toasties, and a like!!!
Chunks of banana. Wedges of orange. Toast. Sticks of cheese.
I make eggy bread soldiers with chunks of cheese for my 10 moth old
banana slices
bits of apple
blueberries (which I have to flatten or he spits them out whole)
Pitta bread with houmos
cucumber (cut out the middle so they can put them on their thumbs)
bits of ham
toast
raisins
slices of yellow or orange peppers (red and green a bit nasty tasting)
etc
