motorola L6 payg voicemail set up help needed

i have a motorola l6 mobile phone on virgin network for about a year, i have only just discovered that the voicemail does not work, i have gone through all the menus and dropdowns but can't find out how to set it up,
does anyone have any ideas? i can't find the manual either. many thanks.

You won't find anything on your phone relating to Voicemail because the service is provided by Virgin, not by your phone. Dial 222 to activate Voicemail:

hi Buenchico, thanks for the answer, i dialled 222 the message said there is a problem and i don't have voicemail and i have to ring 789 and they will help me, so i will do that, thanks again.
