where can i get a pigs head? the butchers by my house said they dont do them because they get the pigs headless. and how much will it cost?

A good butcher should be able to order one in for you. Try asking at different butchers. Although it may take a few days for them to get one for you.

I had this problem trying to get cows eyes for a biology dissection project some years ago. i eventually found a butchers that would order them in and ended up getting them for the entire class.

the woman behind me in the queue didn't quite believe it when i went in and said i've come for 30 cows eyes!

If you live anywhere near Oxford you could get one in the covered market at the centre of town. As to cost, it will be dependant on weight, but I doubt it will be the wrong side of �15.

to be honest i can't remember how much the eyes cost. as i recall it weasn't too much. there's not a great market for cows eyes, i thnk they normally just end up gettting shredded up and used in pet foods and fast food burger restaurants.

My husband has a butchers shop. Your local butcher should be able to get you one!! They look rather sorrowful though, specially if you're a softy like me!
