Weed killing.

Does any one know how affective the blowtorch technique is for killing weeds, Surely it just burns the tops.
I have a large gas roofing torch which is very powerful and was wondering if I could use this.
Any advice would be great.

you are correct, it will only burn the tops which is ok for some weeds but others will grow back from the roots.
