Have had it done.....quick & simple (20 mins). Painless and 20/20 vision immediately!

Keep off contacts for eyes to be in best condition for process. You will be given eye drops for a month with follow-ups.

Mine was 5y ago.......best thing I ever did!
Yes the pain is unbearable. Also the flap got dislodged after I had mine done and I cant see through one eye now.
When the slice off the front of your eye off and start burning it with the laser the smell of burning is disgusting.
But the worst is when you feel the cutting of the front of your eye off.
Then the intense burning in your eye.
I would never recomend it. Its not too late to turn back
ignore richee although when I mentioned that I might get it fone to my bloke he said well if anything goes wrong I'm not going out with a blind person. Charming!
Mine was done thru a special-offer at Boots.
it is dreadful that richee had a bad experience. My daughter had it done and she is the most nervous person I know. She was fine and recommends it to anyone who will listen. Her vision was perfect the next day. Contacts can cause the eye to go out of shape so by not wearing the lenses your eyes are at their natural best position. Good luck you won't regret it. Get the doc to give you some diazapan beforehand to calm you.

thanks for everyones opinions(except Richees!) -its booked and paid for and i 'm not backing out-just hate wearing my glasses and i am only on day 1!! Lol
I had it done at Boots. Best thing I ever did (5 years ago). Painless and quick. Boots told me that there were no reported cases of blindness at the time I had it done and that any complications are rare and fixable. Contact lenses can cause small abrasions to the surface of your eye hence why they have requested that you do not wear these for a week - so your eyes are in optimum condition. Go for it!!!!
