Micra warning lights

Various warning lights on my dashboard instrument panel come on and then off again at intermittent times.

Example, hand brake light comes on even though the brake is off.

have to know what th elights are for, but as far as the handbrake light goes, it is usually a case of the handbrake needing adjusted, when you release the handbrale the lever itself drops onto a switch underneath it and shuts off the light, if the cable is stretched it can mena the lever is not fully down and it can cause the switch to be pressed simply by the bumps in the road so the light will come on and off.
