For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ...if its Gross Vehicle Weight was less than 7500kg. However, check your licence. HGV2 no longer exists, due to us moving into Europe. If you have a C+E entitlement on your licence you can. C means you can drive a vehicle over 7500 kg and E means you can put a trailer on it. Most HGV2's were made up to C+E as HGV2 used to cover 'wagon and drags'. If you have C1+E you can't. This is for vehicles between 3500kg and 7500kg.
If you have a class 2 License you should be able to tell us what categories it covers, and if your not sure check with DVLA, you can find most of what you want on their website http://www.dvla.gov.uk/
