Hoover washing machine won't spin
2 Answers
Our Hoover washing machine won't spin. It gets to the spin cycle but just sits with the water extract pump running. There is no water in the tub and I have tried disconnecting several of the wires from the various switches. Anyone any ideas? What does the level switch look like?

The above may be right and it may just be the carbon brushes have worn. if not it could be the pressure switch that controls the water level (it's a round disk with a pipe and a few wires coming from it located at the top of the machine) that is either faulty or not switching due to a blockage in the system.
If it's not one of the above I'm afraid it will probably start to get expensive as you are then possibly looking at a faulty motor control board.
