putting photos side by side on the screen.

I sometimes take two photos of the same scene, maybe at different times, or slightly different points of view. Is there a simple way to get two photos on the screen side-by-side, so I can decide which one I want to print?
As a corollary, some of my photos I only take as a record of where I was, or what was there - I mean they are not outstanding views, so I don't want to waste money with a full size print. Is there a simple way of combining 4 jpegs into one, so I can get a print of these photos half size (or quarter size, depending on how you look at it)? I have Vista and Easy-Photoprint only, at the moment.

When you have the folder of pictures open and ready to print, click on printer preferences. The wizard will then give you a choice of size ie. full a4, or two on an A4 sheet, or even 4 images on an A4 sheet.

don't know about first part of question bert but for second part>>>> open my pictures >>>highlight ones you need to print (by holding down Ctrl and clicking on each photo) down left hand side click on print this picture>>>printing wizard will open this guides you right through to print photos, giving you option how many pictures per page hope this helps.

I'd really prefer to get my photos professionally printed, but I will try what A.Guest and futritcat have suggested. If it tells my printer what to print, iI should be able to get it on a memory stick and take it to a photo shop.
