OK Prangy, I know I`m new to AB but from what I`ve seen very few answerers stick rigidly to the subject matter. That`s half the fun of reading them. People can be very clever and funny. I`m more of an observer. And during the Conditioner Conflict I thought you could have been more gentle on Rachael. She was rather picked on, and, after all, she was only trying to help, also. I know that after getting through it all I felt as if I`d been put through the wringer, and I`d only been reading it!
And on a friendly note, Prangy, we must come from different generations, or even different worlds! I`ve never heard of either of your two faves! It was like reading a foreign language. Sorry, I`m not trying to take away anything from your special songs, I might even Google for them so I don`t appear so ignorant in the future! Cheers

In answer to Prangy & scientific formula for products. The hairdresser is correct in saying conditioners from supermarkets are cheaper as they dont have brand names.
However, the professionally recommended products are used in salons.....and not necessarily guaged by price but by best usage for the activity.

No Problem! Iv only just joined but basically understand about all that sort of stuff, it took me along time and dont appreciate people giving bad advice on a topic i know in abundance! I can be abrupt so i apoligise if i came across that way! I was only trying to inform :P
I appreciate she was only trying to help though :)
I like all music but those 2 tunes do tend to take me to another planet!

Terambulan you are quite right. Some are cheaper than others but essentially are the same product and supermarkets dont usually stock quality shampoos they stock a 'consumer friendly' range. My point was, you get what you pay for with conditioners - there is only so much a Dove conditioner (example) can do for you if you have severly dry hair... :) Hope iv cleared this up for people >_<
