Just wondering if someone can help!
For a while now i have had a strange smell "down there"
I have been for all STD tests, BV test etc and everything has come back clear. The lady at the clinic was about as much use as a chocolate teapot and said she didnt know what else to test for or suggest! So i'm a bit stuck!
I shower twice a day and use femme fresh stuff. Have also tried just using warm water and nothing changes! I'm getting really self concious about it, my underwear can start to smell a bit unpleasent as quickly as about an hour!!
Any ideas please??

Oh dear miss- i'm afraid you're asking for trouble posting a question like that on a weekend evening! Good luck to you! :-(
yep full warning the idits will make comment and it wont be female!!!!
youre probably over-washing and that Femfresh stuff is possibly an irritant too, natural is best, cotton underwear (nylon can be an irritant) and try to stop worrying

what you find 'strange' possibly isnt anything to worry about
Try washing with antibacterial washes like Sanex or Carex as it's often bacteria which causes a smell as with sweat.

Wear cool light fitting clothing to let the area breathe and preferably light pure cotton knickers to keep the area cool . Make sure you dry lightly but properly before getting dressed.

You could maybe dust on some unperfumed talc over the outside only like baby powder using a separate blusher brush.

Going hair free may make you feel a lot fresher.

You could try a light pad as well which may make you feel fresher as some of the non-period day ones now also have odour control I think.

You could also get some unperfumed antibacterial wipes to keep in your handbag if you feel you need a freshen up during the day. I think you can also get similar ones for wiping.
Some women produce a stronger smell down "there" before a period - and during it - but if it's offensive, and there's any coloured discharge, then I think you need to go back and see your practice nurse. I assume they tested for thrush, chlamydia and urine infections, but if you're not happy, you need to ask for a second opinion.
Be very careful with personal hygiene - as i'm sure you are - and use cotton underwear whilst this thing's happening.
It's just how some of us are Miss_Me. I have the same problem leading up to my period, but I have no infections and never have. I also shower or bathe twice a day. It's very normal for women to have discharges, as it keeps the internal area healthy. Hormonal changes can alter secretions and odours.

Everyone is different. I think using feminine wash products can cause more harm than good and can lead to Thrush. It probably isn't as bad as you think, but because you are conscious of it, it seems worse.

You should use panty liners, (I like Carefree Perfect Fit) then you can change them throughout the day. They now make very thin ones, which are just like a gusset lining.
Sounds like vaginitis which is a bacterial infection, dont douche, use simple soap and avoid sex until it clears up...this sounds disgusting but im sure most of the ladies on here will agree...if your having sex without a condom and your fella, well you know! It can leave a fishy smell behind if its up there for too long...yuk lol!
I used to get repeated vaginal/vulva itching which wasn't thrush but had an unpleasant odour. I stopped washing with soap - just water, and took to always wearing panty liners. It's completey gone, sometimes the simplest solutions are the best.
