My kids drink the Muller Vitality ones most days and they never get the vomiting/diarhoea bugs that do the rounds at school. Luck or not, I don't know!
These were analysed recently by a scientist for one of those BBC2 programmes and the results that came back were that if you have a stomach complaint eg IBS, these things can be beneficial to you.
However taking them everyday when there's nothing wrong with you will not do you any good
I read awhile ago that some scientists ran some medical trials comparing people who took the 'healthy bateria yoghurts' with those who did not. When the trials failed to show a significant improvement in the first group i.e. that the advertising claims were not as good as they appeared; the company who made them ( and who had perhaps funded the research) threatend the scientists with legal action if they published their findings! What does that tell you?....
