Hi guys, I have friend who thinks she may have the above. We have both looked at information etc and her symptoms match very well. She is making a Dr's appointment tomorrow. Does anyone have any knowledge or experiance of it at all?

Any advice would be greatly apprecaited.

your friend is more than likely going paranoid and it will be nothing of the sort, its natural for humans to always think the worst so just make sure you keep reassuring her that its probably nothing so that shes not panicking as much and just be there for her until she gets the all clear.

Yeah, I see what you're saying but she has had these symptoms for around 6 months. Dr's can not give her an explanation and haven't mentioned cancer or even reassured her. Thank you for your time to reply. I will post back whne she has more info.
If the Doctor hasn't mention cancer then it is highly unlikely that she has it.

When was the last time she had a smear test, was that clear?
Can I ask what her symptoms are that makes her think that?
Could it be all the recent news about it with the new jab and Jade Goody that has put it in her mind.

Some info here but the symptoms can also be very common in other conditions as it points out.

Has she kept up to date with her smears?
I had cervical cancer, but had no symptoms whatsoever except a bit of backache. My gp did nt even examine me & just gave me pain killers. I changed my gp & was examined, sent for an xray, given a smear & was in hospital within 2 weeks. I had further tests in hospital & ended up having a hysterectomy. When they opened me up, my fallopian tubes, womb & 1 ovary were affected by cancer. My conultant told my mum that I was a very lucky "girl" that I changed gp.
