Early stages of a relationship advice. Can anybody give me any pointers?

I'm 25 and I've just met a new guy, he's lovely and we have a good time together, although I think the most prominent thing between us is clearly the physical attraction at the moment.
But we have a giggle when we're together and we chat away, but I've noticed 4 dates in, we seem to be running out of things to say - and this is because, I don't think we actually have anything in common!
He has decided to stop drinking for a while until his sisters wedding in 3 weeks and I think that's great. Although it means we can't go out clubbing or go to the pub, something my friends and I do often so that's ruled out one of my major social activities.
He also isn't really a fan of movies, so we can't go to the cinema and we never watch movies at his place so that's that out.
We have completely opposing tastes in music. He likes Dance music and I like Rock music, so we've really just decided to put the music thing to one side.
We do however like watching comedy shows and that's something we've done together, but how often can we really do this?
A lot of his favourite activities are very solitary activities and most of mine are very social (and sadly usually involve drinking). I'm not sure how we can get past this or how we can find things we have in common. Does anybody have any ideas?

Physical attraction is great at the start of a relationship, but it won;t sustain it if there is nothing else there.
Why not have a chat with him about doing something totally different - walking in the country, bowling, something different, and see how it goes, although I think fron the fact that you have posted here suggests you see the writing on the wall.
