My dog has a small something on her ear which seems to come and go but is obviously a little sensitive, the vet seems to think it is a bite but it always appears in the same place and has reocurred for three years which makes me thnk it may be a wart type thing, could you use standard human wart treatment on it even though I know dog skin is very different to humans?

My friends Rottie had a little round lump come up on her ear flap, and the vet said it was a sort of cancerous growth that would go away in its own time. He said he could have operated on it, but if we trusted him it would go away, so he saved her the cost of operating. Sure enough it went in about three weeks, and this sounds like the same sort of thing.
Hers has not come back yet, but this was only a couple of months ago. There was no actual treatment for it.
