The nozzles were always blocked. They promote their integrated print head and inktank as a feature yet all it does is make the ink very expensive. It only worked properly when I used Callidad refill kits instead of the original ink. HP inkjet = junk.
I then had a Cannon which worked very well for about five years. Never jammed but it did eventually begin to get blockage problems. Probably should have replaced the print head at that point. Note that they have an "waste ink reservoir" (actually a big sponge in the bottom) that must be cleaned out eventually. Very messy job that requires tech skills.
This time I bought a Minolta colour laser. Great printer and no tiny nozzles to block. Replacement toner costs a lot but they do thousands of copies and the cost per copy is actually lower than inkjets. And the ink doesn't run if it gets damp.
It will print quite reasonable photos but we do all our digital photos at a shop. It is way cheaper and provides a proper photo on real photo paper.

I have to agree whole-heartedly with ianmunt. I had my Epson for about 10 years so a replacement had a lot to live up to. I plumped for a Lexmark, after a recommendation. What a load of rubbish; a total waste of time and money. IT'S replacement is a Canon MX310 and I've found it to be absolutely superb. It's an all-in-one whose printing is perfect.
