my sister uses her mobile phone (nearly attached to it) for outgoing calls. now she says when she uses it the signal is breaking up and it says "empty" on her wee display - she is 66 and does not want to learn another mobile phone. By the way she has about �80 on it if if not more so it is not the money - would it be the battery.

My phone is exactly the same - could I take my battery out of mine cos mine is relatively used and put it in her (we know nothing about mobile phones) - Any ideas would be helpful

Yes you can swap batteries, also the �80 credit is held on the sim card not the phone so if you swapped the sim into another phone the credit and her phone number would be swapped with it.

thanks for that but with not knowing much about mobile phones - do I have to take the sim and battery out - I was thinking of the other way round - my taking my battery and putting it into her phone and leaving her sim in her own phone hope i am not confusing you

yes you can just swap the batteries no problem if the phones are the same.

Hope its not 'pay as u go' with �80 on it......could be a huge loss if stolen. Get it registered, quick to save your credit.

it is pay as you go - how can anything happen to it if the move is made between her battery and mine
