Stolen Ford focus Keys

We seem to be lurching from one crisis to another with my son's car and I'm exhausted. Last week it was seized locks now we're dealing with the possibilty his keys have been stolen, not clear yet but too long a story to bore you with. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and had to replace the locks etc. Would the car have to go back to the dealers because of the ignition etc to be reprogrammed? Any ideas of cost please? Didn't know whether its worth him quoting his registration, whether they'd be able to be more specific then. I would really appreciate any help, am worried sick. Thank you

Panic over, car keys have turned up 24 hours later, his bank card and money have been stolen but at least he hasn't got the added cost of making his car secure. Thanks
