cant get rid of mice

the past 2 weeks i have found a mouse in the kitchen,living room and bedroom,you can hear them sqeeling of a night,cant sleep,hate the damn things.i have ultrasonic pest controls in every room,got traps down,never been touched,poison down again dosnt seem touched,i am now trying peppermint oil.cant get cat i have a dog.any ideas,would be greatfully recieved.

i found a mouse in my airing cupboard last week. bought a trap baited it with peanut butter and 10 mice later, we seem to mouse free. still keep the trap in th eairing cupboard just in case tho

Hi, poisons work if the ******* eat it, but usually they won't touch it because, to be honest ''it aint exactly tasty stuff'' is it. what you have to do is make a bit of effort so that is is attractive to the mice.
What I do always works but takes a bit of effort, get a poison which is usually in pellet form and grind it down to a rough powder (I use a old hammer on an old metal saucer) then mix it with sardines or pilchards or tuna in a 1/1 mixture. Put down a walnut sized glob each night and it will always be gone in the morning, do that for a week and most of them will be gone.

I've found that for Field Mice, a humane trap with some Scotch Pancake does the trick, a 100% record using this method, but for the greys, which seem to be that much more intelligent, i'd go for qapmocs suggestion.

buy a cat!!! they work really well @ getting rid of mice!

Get a cat rockster ,the dog will learn to love it and you'll be mice free.

I have a bad cat allergy and an old house so we have mice esp. this time of year.

It's a little known fact that mice can teleport. Last week I chased one behind a book case. My wife went to one end and I went to the other - pulled it away - No mouse. Turned around and behind us rolling on the floor laughing was the little bl**der!

Every now and then we have a purge with the humane traps. We tried a number of baits, chocolate, peanut butter but we seem to have traditionalist mice who prefer cheese. (I've never heard of any sucess with the ultrasonic things).

Just wanted u to know, if anyone needs to catch mice, all u have to do is get some kind of trap, and put "white chocolate" in it, and u will catch mice everytime. We had problems with mice, and we went to Lowes to buy a mouse trap that will catch the mouse, but not kill 'em. It has a trap door that shuts and traps the mouse, then my husband would just let him go down the sewer. He would melt "white chocolate" in the back of the trap, and within 2 days we caught 7 mice. Two mice at once...they were small field mice, plus the 2nd day, he caught 4 more mice, the grey ones, and 1 black one.
Its a sure-fire way to catch mice!!! Good Luck to y'all!!!
