How serious is their crime?

Have this Teacher & his Brother, committed anything more serious than many ABers also do on a regular basis during their works time?
Or is the real reason, because they are members of the BNP.

But if the affiliations are strong perhaps the real problem lies with him not declaring he is a member. Yes, it is a ducking witch scenario because if he had admitted it he would be sacked anyway, but they are the rules.
I do not even work in state education yet have to declare all my memberships etc to the committee and the Head Master And the last time I looked we don't have any pesky muslims at my school.
A few Hindus and some Jews who are very intelligent and well bred boys.

So no, I don't think the reason is because he is a member of BNP.

My guess is that most normal people would feel uneasy about having someone with white supremacist tendencies teaching their little 'uns.
I don't think that you can ban the BNP as a political party, but as a society, I think it's important to keep them as far away from kids as possible.
Like paedophiles really.

I do hope he is being struck off for being a member of the BNP.
It would be nice to think that the educational authorities were strong and confident enought to say having teachers expressing support for openly racist organisations is unacceptable.
Frankly I think there's a more than passing case to have them banned as a proscribed organisation.
Alas it seems free speech still involves the right to spew hatred ( on many racial fronts ).
Oh well with a bit of luck any other similarly minded ( if you can use that word) teachers should at least get the hint.
Can we sack those couple of creationists while we're at it too please

I have no problem with anyone who holds extreme political or religious views teaching in state schools - just as long as they keep those views out of the classroom, and just as long as they're not indulging in expressing them when they're supposed to be teaching the kids.
I hope he never teaches again.

Interesting question. I've been thinking about it and I think technically, Ethel is correct (quelle surprise - I'm disagreeing with you yet again.)
A homosexual is attracted to members of their own sex. A homosexual who is attracted to minors of his or her own sex is a paedophile.
You can't be both things at the same time.
Another example is (say) a bisexual woman. If she dates a fella, then a woman, then another fella...she's not straight, then a lesbian, then straight again. Her core being is bisexual.
(Actually, I don't believe in bisexuality...I think it's just people being greedy and having no manners).

I think we must agree to disagree on this one.
But before we do, one last shot.
Homosexual : Of, relating to, or having a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex.
There is no mention of the legal age, so doesn't it follow that a homosexual is more likely to be attracted not only to adult males but also to young Boys? When this threshold has been crossed he becomes a paedophile also.
There was no such thing as a paedophile in ancient Greece, but homosexuality was rife, no young boy was safe.

If a man fancies women, he's heterosexual.
If a man fancies men, he's homosexual.
If a man fancies children, he's a paedophile.
If a man fancies animals, he's bestial.
If someone was into bestiality, AOG, would you check the sex of the Labrador and then pronounce them heterosexually bestial or homosexually bestial?
Or would you just say they were into bestiality?
