Help! Mini boot handle is stuck!!!!

I can't get in! and I have a flat battery! What do I do????

To get at the battery take the rear seat back rest out.

Behind the rear seat back rest on a classic mini is a solid bulkhead so access to the battery is not possible.
You could jump start the car from under the bonnet, connect using the main power lead from the battery to the starter ( the largest cable fastened to the starter ) for the positive and the engine for the earth.

Well! We managed to get the boot off by unscrewing the hingles at the bottom and wiggling it free.....What a nightmare! after looking at the lock and handle it was clear that the whole mechanism had seized up. got some WD40 and cleaned it all up, works fine now. Thanks for the advice.

P.S Needless to say...charged battery and back on the road!!
