my husband retired last year aged 59. he's 60 and gets a small pension from his employer. i am a nurse and earn 21000. we have 2 dependent kids aged 10 and 14. i get wftc and fa. dont mean to be greedy but - are there any monies he can get to boost his income till he gets state pension at 65 - and can he sign on to get NI credits meantime?

between the age of 60-65 men are currently automatically credited with their NI stamp.. as long as he wasn't self employed just before turning 60
have you thought about family credit ...
