Good news Marge!

There are a couple of over-the counter medicines. Personally, I find ECOSTATIN (on prescription) is best. Get the mixed pack with pessaries and cream. Very soothing and even smells nice.

Things that can cause/aggravate thrush are: soaps eg too much bubblebath in the water, some medications such as antibiotics, and semen. If you have a regular partner, they will need to use the cream too or you'll be passing it back and forth.

Oh, yeah, being pregnant sets it off too!!! (Just saw your other post)
i had it when i was pregnant too, and i ate natural yoghut that helped.
I swear by canistan combi - the pessary in particular.  You'd have to check if it's ok to use when pregnant though.

anything sets off thrush.... the gravitational force of the moon can do it!!!

According to one "celebrity" Doctor, applying natural yoghurt topically can be good.... Personally, it's not something I like the idea of.....

In Australia we have all the pessaries and creams like Monostat and Canestan - they seem to do well.....

Hope that you find relief soon!!! :-) and I hope that that bloody moon doesn't descend here!!!

Go to the Doctors!!!

If you havent had Thrush before you could be confusing the symptoms with something else more worrying than thrush!

this has to be one of the worse conditions, a woman has to face. Not only do we get periods, pregnancys etc.it never fully goes away. Since going on the pill, ive found i get it nearly every month. I am changing pill, which should hopefully do the trick. But I would def check with your GP if you are on the pill, cause it will prob be that.
If it's recurring despite using Canestan etc, try taking Acidophilus tablets from Holland and Barratt, it works wonders for me.

If youare pregnant then obviously you need to get medical advice first. You could also try drinking Actimel which has sort of the same cultures.
Going commando helps too!
