Green Energy
5 Answers
I have been listening to a prog on radio 4 re,electric cars & Hydrogen Cell engines. The thought occured to me.
Because we are able to receive energy through the atmosphere which is transformed into electricity to drive our t/vs & radios, does anyone know if it would be possible to receive signals through an arial that would drive an electric motor that would propel a car,we could have a system of payment similar to paying your mobile phone bill.
Now then hands up all those who think i'm barmy.

Unfortunately, at the moment, they can transmit it a few feet(!!!) and typical losses are around 30% - so for every 60 units you used, you would have to pay for 90. Are can't see anything green about the technology, as the electricity is still generated conventionally - in fact, with 30% of it being wasted, I would say it's quite the opposite of green.

Hmmm, there are loads of alternative energy sources out there.
The problem is, the oil company's buy the patents and the government doesnt want them either.
Have you seen how much they make off us through petrol.
Also, there is the problem of too many cars on the roads. If there was a cheap fuel, then everyone would buy a car, it would be bedlam on the roads.
There is too much to consider before moving to greener fuels...
