Hi Guys

I want to make a pecan pie using puff pastry . I have a recipe for a pie using shortcrust pastry when you bake this blind first. The other ingredients are melted butter, fresh white breadcrumbs, golden syrup and pecans. Would this work if I spread the lot over a rectangle of frozen pastry and baked in the oven. I'm not a bakey type person. Suggests when it's baked pie wise to drizzle with maple syrup and leave to sort of set. Many thanks

Puff pastry on the underside of anything only works well if you leave the top open and don't put too much liquid on.... so I don't think you're going to get the result you want (actually, I'm not quite sure what result you want....lol). Why do you want to use puff pastry instead of shortcrust ?
